PDF Page Studio — Support

Drag the image file from Finder straight onto the page in PDF Page Studio. You can also use File → Insert Image. Position with the mouse, resize from any corner (aspect ratio is preserved), and use the Inspector on the right for numeric X / Y / width / height.

The PDF's pages are appended to your document. You can then add captions, photos and shapes on top of those pages and re-export. Vector content from the source PDF stays vector through export.

The red snap guides appear while you're dragging an element, when it gets close to the center, an edge or another element. If you don't see them, the element is probably already snapped (the guides disappear when you're locked on). Hold the ⌥ Option key while dragging to temporarily disable snapping.

PDF Page Studio embeds images at their original resolution — it never resamples. If the export looks soft, the source image itself is low resolution. Replace the image with a higher-resolution original and re-export. A 300 dpi file at A4 print size is about 2480 × 3508 pixels.

Select the photo, then use Layout → Add caption. This creates a centered text box anchored to the image. If you moved the photo afterwards, select both and run Layout → Align center to re-center the caption.

Yes. Select three or more elements, then Layout → Distribute. Horizontal or vertical option respects the bounding boxes of the outermost elements as anchors.

Document → Add page, or use the + button at the bottom of the page list on the left. Drag pages in the list to reorder. Right-click a page to duplicate or delete.

The document is open in another window (or another copy of PDF Page Studio). Close the other instance — macOS only allows one writer per document file at a time.
